Back to School Savings on Bernina!

Fall classes are gearing up at The Academy of fine Sewing & Design. We offer after school classes for kids aged 12 and up. For those interested in pursuing a career in fashion, we offer help with portfolio preparation. Most portfolios are due in early 2011, so now is a good time to get organized. We can help you choose suitable projects for your portfolio.

We are offering the 200 series of machines at a great saving for Back to School specials. All four of the machines in this line up offer great features. Everything from an Activa 210 which is a solid basic machine for a beginner to the Activa 240 which comes with a huge stitch package, several styles of buttonholes, alphabets and a knee lever to lift the presser foot; perfect for the quilter or garment maker.

Drop by Homestead Stitches or The Academy of fine Sewing & Design for a free demo.

There is still space available in the Designer T-shirt workshop Sept. 10-11 with Ce Podolak of Vancouver BC and Kathryn Brenne. Ce is the designer of Material Things Fearless Patterns. She has designed one of the best fitting T-shirts available. Kathryn and Ce will teach you how to sew with knits, develop a master pattern, redesign and tips for perfect hems and necklines. Visit www.finesewing.com to download a registration form.

The Academy of fine Sewing & Design is your only authorized Bernina dealer. Call 705-494-8529 for information about Bernina sewing machines, sergers, quilt frames and embroidery machines.
